Firefox 3.5 Released

Posted: July 1st, 2009

Yesterday, the mozilla project released Firefox 3.5. The most exciting feature of this new release is open video in my opinion. I’ll be spending some time looking into how to create this new format so I can look to releasing this on websites in the future. Unfortunately until Microsoft supports it, I’ll probably have to wait.

PilatesConnectionCS.com launched

McClintic Design Inc. launched PilatesConnectionCS.com for Lisa Miller this morning at 8am. Lisa asked McClintic Design Inc. to create a unique site to showcase her expertise and passion with the Pilates exercise methodology. McClintic Design worked with Lisa on the entire process as well as a photoshoot in her studio to get photos that showcased what her studio is all about. The result was a very dynamic site utilizing image fading techniques and standard CSS based design.

Shameless Earthday plug!

Posted: April 22nd, 2009

For Earth Day 2009 I thought I’d make a shameless plug for my “green” web design and development company. Green? you asked, well my friend, McClintic Design Inc. uses almost 60% recycled code on all it’s projects. Think of how many trees are saved by that recycled code! That recycling effort saves approximately 1 tree every 2 years! Imagine how many trees will be saved if all development shops used recycled code!

In all honesty, my company is probably not as green as we should be. I do only use 1 ream paper every 6 months or so but I could be better about shutting down my computers when I’m done for the evening. The hosting company I use does purchase “green” energy credits to keep their servers running so I guess that’s something.

If anything, go plant a tree or volunteer at a school (which is what we’re doing today) so you can stress to the next generation the importance of conservation, recycling and generally being more responsible than we’ve been.

Happy Earth Day!
